Amanda at PLUME photography captured the most perfect pictures of our newborn baby daughter and put us at ease during a very sleepless time in our lives!

I was hesitant to book newborn photos because I was worried about feeling overwhelmed, & as it turns out, we had to move our shoot due to a stint in the NICU. Amanda couldn't have been more flexible & encouraging in working with us to find the right time for our family.

Inevitably, wrangling a newborn, a toddler & a dog ends up with someone crying and mom sweating. It can be high stress! But, Amanda has truly seen it all (or at least makes you feel that she has) and never, ever gets rattled. Instead, she truly helps zen the mood! I was nervous about newborn photos with my second - there was a lot of spanx involved! - but somehow, she made me laugh and feel just as beautiful as ever - which a month after giving birth is actually worth all the money in the world.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • When should we book our maternity + newborn?

    I recommend reaching out to book as soon as you are comfortable.  Maternity sessions typically take place anywhere from 28 to 36 weeks, depending on how mom is carrying and feeling!  I recommend 4-6 weeks for newborn sessions.

  • Is our house too small? Does it need to be perfect?

    No and no! Photographing in the home allows everyone to feel safe and comfortable, and everything we could need is already on hand. All we need is a neutral space near a decent-sized window!

  • Can my spouse / older children / dog be included?

    Absolutely! All PLUME Sessions include the immediate family - dogs included!

  • What should we wear? Can you help with styling?

    My number one piece of advice for attire for any portrait session is to make sure everyone in the session looks dressed for the same event! My Session Guide, which every client receives after booking, goes into more detail on styling ideas from clothes to hair and makeup artist recommendations if desired

  • Are digital images included?

    All PLUME Collections include a set number of High-Resolution digital images with a print release, as well as web-resolution files for your archives and sharing. Collections start at 1000.

  • Can we gift PLUME or add to our registry?
