Spring is finally making its way to Washington, and with it comes so much sweet newness, and a lot of sweet newborns! I loved meeting this family; mom and dad are total naturals and have such a happy home!
I love working with this fun family! At our shoot last year, this little one was just getting the hang of walking, but she already had such a fun personality. This year, she was running circles around all of us, and had me laughing the whole shoot!
I did an impromptu alley session with the super talented (and easy to photograph!) Sara Curtain. If you are in the D.C. area, she is performing at the Rock and Roll Hotel for the release of her new album, Michigan Lillium - go check her out, and wish her a slightly belated Happy Birthday!
I have a confession to make, I've been spending a lot of time at "happy hour" lately, and I've never felt better! Biker Barre is an award-winning boutique fitness studio on Capitol Hill offering barre and indoor cycling classes, and a really fun community of instructors and clients. I love collaborating with other small business owners, so I was thrilled when owners Jane and Katie reached out to update their studio photos. In addition to running a fantastic studio, they are both really lovely people, as is their whole team, which made the entire shoot a great time. If you're in DC and looking for a great workout, I highly recommend checking them out - maybe I'll see you there!
A sweet couple expecting their first child, a funny (and photogenic) golden doodle puppy and a beautiful day made for fun shoot with Sarah, Raymond and Molly late last year. Looking forward to meeting Molly's little sister or brother this spring!
I met Winnie and her parents on a beautiful but chilly day in Yards Park late last year to take some family pictures. They are such a fun family, and even though she was cold, Winnie was a trooper and gamely showed off her newly acquired walking skills.
In August, I had the pleasure of "meeting" Anne and her friend, and fellow blogger, Lauren on Twitter. Anne has a delightful blog, Hardly Snarky, that she is currently using to share her newest adventure: a big move to France! Before she left, she wanted to do a quick photo shoot to update her blog.
We shot on a beautiful summer evening in an alley here on Capitol Hill. Anne was so easy to shoot, and a joy to work with, and I love how these shots capture her fun spirit at an exciting time in her life.
I clearly have a soft spot in my heart for anyone who makes the crazy/brave decision to quit their job, pack their bags and haul said bags across an ocean to explore what else is out there, and I was thrilled to get to get to know Anne a bit before she set off on her adventure!
Bon Voyage Anne!
