Last month, the East Coast welcomed the West Coast as California-born bride H and DC-raised B tied the knot at The Line Hotel. These two - who met “the old fashioned way” at a bar (Pearl Dive on 14th Street to be exact) - could not have been a more fun couple to work with (their first dance was to the classic “Let’s Get it On” by Marvin Gaye), and I loved how excited they were for their wedding throughout the entire planning process, keeping their eye on the prize: at the end of the day, they would be married and surrounded by the people they love the most. It didn’t hurt that they also planned a gorgeous wedding with modern but timeless details that shared their story as well as complimented their venue. They said their vows on the roof overlooking the city, before heading downstairs where guests found their seat courtesy of a gorgeous boxwood champagne escort wall. Dinner had a casual elegant wine-country vibe, a nod to the bride’s family, and once Sound Nation kicked off the party, it didn’t stop until late into the night, with the bride and groom leading the way.
